Hand to Hand Tactical Self Defense Training Class By Master Instructor Guro Felix Valencia

Lameco Eskrima is a Filipino martial art system combining several different styles of kali, arnis and eskrima which the founder, Punong Guro Edgar G. Sulite, learned from prominent grandmasters in the Philippines.

Born in the Philippines, Guro Felix Valencia has trained extensively since the age if 4 within a multitude of devastating no-nonsense fighting arts within each range of combat. In his twenties, Guro Felix became known as "Edgar's Brawler" in full contact knife/stick matches when he found a home within Punong Guro Edgar Sulite's Filipino based system of LAMECO Eskrima. Putting this knowledge into real life application, Valencia has successfully competed in numerous full contact stick and knife fights.

Guro Felix is the founder of "Defensive Edge" which is an organization dedicated to training law enforcement and civilian personnel in high risk positions (pilots, security screeners and other non-enforcement personnel) in defensive techniques from edged weapons.

Valencia Lameco Eskrima (VLE) is the interpretation of the Lameco system by Guro Felix Valencia. Guro Felix was one of PG Edgar's exclusive core group of students and he is recognized in the weapons fighting community as one of the leading experts in edged weapons training. With his vast knowledge of a variety of systems and first hand experience at real life applications, Guro Felix has chosen the most street applicable systems of thought, techniques and philosophies to comprise Valencia Lameco Eskrima. VLE utilizes a volatile arsenal of techniques that allow the practitioner to flow without interruption between various ranges of combat and be effective in both armed and unarmed conflicts. The effectiveness of VLE has been recognized and embraced by both the military and law enforcement communities.

His "style" makes large use of footwork and body mechanic, so the students will not only understand the principles and techniques of combat but also the reasons why they have to apply them in certain ways.
